Thinking about making a complaint

We investigate complaints about Western Australian State Government agencies, statutory authorities, local governments and public universities.

Complain to the agency first

If you have a complaint we generally ask that you try to resolve it first with the agency involved. Agencies should have procedures for handling complaints. You need to give the agency a chance to address your complaint. For help on what to include in your complaint see Tips on making a complaint to a State Government agency or follow advice from the relevant agency.

If you are not satisfied after complaining to the agency concerned, please contact us again.

If we are not able to assist with your complaint, we may be able to refer you to someone who can.

Our services are free and available to everyone.
