The Board of Energy and Water Ombudsman (Western Australia) Limited is the governing body of the Energy and Water Ombudsman Western Australia. It comprises seven directors: an independent chair, three customer representative directors, a gas industry representative director, an electricity industry representative director and a water industry representative director.
The Board does not become involved in the day-to-day management of customer complaints – that is the role of the Energy and Water Ombudsman, with whom the Board has a service agreement. However, the Energy and Water Ombudsman provides a report to each meeting of the Board and gives details of the number of complaints received and resolved, in the gas, electricity and water sectors, on a monthly basis.
Details of the membership, responsibilities and operations of the Board are documented in the Energy and Water Ombudsman (Western Australia) Limited Constitution and Charter of the Energy and Water Ombudsman (Western Australia) Limited. Click here to go to the Charter and Constitution page.
