Awareness and accessibility

The Regional Awareness and Accessibility Program aims to significantly enhance awareness of, and accessibility to the Energy and Water Ombudsman Western Australia's services for regional Western Australians.  The Program also targets awareness and accessibility for Indigenous Western Australians.

The Program is being undertaken jointly with the State Ombudsman, the Health and Disability Services Complaints Office, the Office of the Information Commissioner and the Commonwealth Ombudsman. Regional visits are coordinated by the State Ombudsman's office.

Major activities conducted as part of regional visits include:

  • Seminars for local community members and/or groups;
  • Complaints clinics for the public to raise issues about electricity, gas and water services providers;
  • Individual meetings with stakeholders; and
  • Workshops and training.
